Function, Reliability, Testing and Realisation

This focal point dealt with exclusive challenges of electromobility concerning safety, reliability and manufacturing engineering. The focus was on battery testing, methods for the evaluation of safety and reliability, vehicle air conditioning as well as on requirements of comfort. The cost-effective series production of components was also analyzed. Complementary surveys addressing the availability of resources and the consumer behaviour completed the research activities. Therefore the focal point was divided into six subprojects:
